How to Fix Broken PDF Text

PDFs are great for printing but terrible for copying. When you copy text from a PDF, you often get random line breaks, weird spacing, and formatting glitches. PText.io fixes this instantly.

  1. Copy your text from the PDF document.
  2. Click Open Free Editor above.
  3. Paste your text. We automatically remove line breaks, fix spacing, and strip all formatting.
  4. Use the "Clean Up Spacing" button (the first icon in the toolbar) if there are extra newlines remaining.

Why is PDF text so broken?

PDFs are designed for visual layout, not text flow. This means they often insert "hard returns" (line breaks) at the end of every visual line. When you paste this into a Word doc or email, it looks like a mess of short lines. PText.io removes these artificial breaks and restores your text to a natural flow.
